  • @Codum78 The sound is from him pulling the power back before the turn, the engine is idling down in the pass. Stop complaining and just watch the video, so what if it isn't exactly mach 0.95, its a lot faster than 0.5! he's doing around 550kts plus, about 0.85 if you want to get technical.

  • @Analog32 From an aerospace engineer to a random bloke; the transonic region, M=0.7-0.95, would show shock/expansion waves over the wings. Please use the metric system, buddy, I hate converting your numbers to run my calcs. So if you claim 600mph, at sea level conditions, the Mach number would be M=0.78. There is no visible evidence of this. We need to see that the flow over the wings (which goes faster than that of the aircraft) exhibit shock waves. Look up shock tunnel tests to see this.
