Most of the good kickers in the NFL where soccer players. Robbie Gould, kicker for the bears, could have been pro in soccer, but he decided to be a kicker in college, and Sebastian Janikowski ties the record for longest field goal.

Don't be so sure that in American Football, you'll always know where your teammates are and where they're going. No plan survives contact with the enemy, as they say. If it were really that easy, offense would dominate the game. Obviously, the defense has other plans...

@crj19851985 Yes, But in American Football, You know where all your teammates are going to be at all times and you can plan before every attack. In Soccer, Your teammates could be busy blocking a defender or trapped offside and you have make a decision in half a second. Also, play never stops, so you can't form a plan before every attack. It's almost all improv. Soccer is unpredictable and tense. That's what makes it the biggest game in the world!
