I was out in the clubs for this music back in the late 80's and early 90's. Sound Factory/NYC, Roxy /NYC, Trocadero/Philly, etc. At this point in time, AIDS was really ravaging the gay community - the first wave of people were dying and there was no medicine to stop it. So to be out dancing, during a time of great pain, was very, very meaningful to us. I remember seeing people vanish from the clubs over the months, knowing I'd never see them again. This music bound us together in a major way.

dont devide i know younger people are pellicons but your were once and you probably said the same sort of things about the people who didnt follow the crowd. house is a journey you can keep on doing the same route or you can hoop off the bus and go on your on path of discovery and find the history behind house and how its has got to where its is today plus the many other types of music that have branched off from house music tree. house has brilliant history and its still fresh in peoples minds
