To see this visit http://www.createspace.com/204454 I made this film for the 50th anniversary of Life Magazine. I had the chance to interview the great Life photojournalists and tell their stories. This sequence shows how Life publicized the civil rights movement and school segregation making Americans aware of it.
I'm going to show this to my grade 4 and 5 kids here in Toronto.... thanks

I totally agree. Most documentaries do not credit life magazine for the profound effect it had on Northern white lower middle class Americans who did not know much about the civil rights movement or feel passionate about it until they saw those horrible photographs and realized that this was America.

It is important for a magazine like Life, or any magazine, for that matter that reaches such a large audience to report on the facts of the situation and Life definitely captured the situation of African-Amercians in this country.

Our history is filled with such oppression eh: we are no less barbaric now than we were back then!~Everyone deserves to be free: every ONE is equal in front of God and will be judged for what they did or did not do! God bless us** Ameen
Thanks for sharing!
