New game test for my isometric trpg in development for xbox 360 indie and pc written in c# and xna.
All the art is pretty much a collection of free art I found on the net and will change in the near future.
Added some new creatures, a new hud and a quickmenu

  • How did you get the trees to show up transparent? As in, the sprite of the tree obviously has either white or black background, how did you actually make the color get to be see through?

  • @Manifest222

    I don't know why you think that the trees have a white or black background because that is not the case.

    The trees are png files with transparency.

    But what you are probably looking for is a colorkey. Depending on which engine/framework you use you can specify a certain color as beeing transparent.

    Hope that helps.

  • Do you remember the sites you found tile art for? I'm looking for some good tiles. It's pretty hard to make detailed ones without them looking like blatant cutouts/ stale patterns..

  • @SavageBunnyGirl

    I made the tiles with a program called world creator 1.5

    Its freeware and can turn any texutre into a isometric tile. It also comes with a bunch of textures with it

  • @KoRnedbeaf

    I had hoped ya wouldn't say that. ;.;

    I have World Creator also. I just wish I could create environments with some good shading in it. If WC can do that, I don't know how...

  • The GUI is defintly progressing :)
