  • Hmmm, timing belt tensioner u say?

I put on a brand new timing belt kit 3 days ago.

And the knocking sound comes when i rev it to about 2000-2500 and up. I'm gonna check the rod, crank, bearings and everything now on tuesday. Hope there isn't any metal spoon in the oilpan. :)

  • yes it does sond like rod knock

  • lifter tick

  • Piston?? Lol definately a rod

  • PISTON!!

  • yup! def a rod

  • Sounds like something more toward the top end of engine rather than deep in like a rod or main. Possible damaged piston loose in bore or wrist pin.

  • 4g63 = crank walk. i dont care if you have a 6 bolt or 7 they both walk

  • look at my video thats some rod knock

  • same noise my dads srt-8 300c made and when we took it apart the ball on the end of the rocker arm was completly shaved down to almost nothing. dumbass car shop put the stock ones back in with the cams, heads, headers, and exhaust
