nice track. What is the measurement in the corners,,,, how many inches from the corner of the wall to the edge of the wood. I have an O guage train that i want to do the same way, but the curves are an 0-45 radius which will put the edge of the wood about 14 inches from the wall. I think that will be to much but if that is the same as yours I will be ok. If not I might consider selling and going to an ho guage. Thanks

Did you ever lay the second set of tracks? I'm planning this same type of layout in HO scale. BTW: that bridge is marvelous. I'm planning a 50 inch span myself.

I want to do this in my spare room. i want to run two or three tracks around, how wide should the shelf be?

Cool! I have a n scale one going around my computer room
Nice layout, how did you secure the track to the wood, looks to be difficult to nail the track down?

@dlc54 I used track nails every 2 or 3 feet to keep it from swaying.

did you make the rainbow bridge or did u buy it if you did build it how

@Adam141516 I made the rainbow bridge out of dowel rods and simple molding that you can buy at stores like Lowes. To get the shape of the bend, I arched some simple molding in between two bricks while wetting down the wood for several days. After it dried/cured, the shape held on its own. I then constructed the rest of the bridge with dowel rods cut to size and shape and lots of wood glue.

that is so cool i want to make 1... how long did it take for you to make it?

Thanks. I recall it taking about 1 - 2 weeks to plan and design. The design for the bridges taking up most of that time. Then another 1-2 weeks to build.
