I saw this guy in the Townes Van Zandt documentary. He was weird and had nothing to do with Townes except that he played one of his songs, weirdly. He got my interest though and I read up on him an watched some videos. Now here he is doing a great cover of Johnny Thunder's classic tune. Plus, I saw that he played in Austin recently and was sorry I missed it. First impressions indeed.
