Sorry, but I just get a little put off hearing bands do covers that are only recognizable by the lyrics and a few chords and then act like they're guitar heros. Like I said, "to me" it's being lazy. I didn't say it was bad, it just doesn't do anything for me.
This guy is way better than me, I just don't get into covers that don't cover. It's OK if no one agrees. It's not a big deal. I'm just sayin'...

You're a better player than I, but not on this piece. I'm a firm believer that if you're going to cover someone, you should try to play as the artist did - not a jam behind the basic chords. Especially if you're going to cover a Hendrix piece.
To me, it's just being lazy. Sorry.
