Ah! That makes a lot of sense (I looked at the circuit diagram), the one last thing I'm wondering is what the specs were for the inductor and capacitor? This is really cool, I would imagine you could connect the transistor/gate to a laptop, maybe even with as something as simple as the computer's sound card. This is solving a lot of stumbling blocks, because in a hybrid software is inevitably going to become involved. Thanks a lot!

Well, the motor acts as the inductor. It's about 100uH I think. The capacitors are sixteen 820uF 200v Panasonic caps with high ripple current capability and low ESR. Check out Digikey to see them.
