I have heard statements, to the contrary about the term Indians, that paints C Columbus in a little bit of a better light. Russel Means, said that he originally called us "en dios" which means In god, as in being people of nature, wearing animal pelts, and being naked living off the land... you know how we were meant to be. I prefer the term Native just to cut down on the confusion. 6 Nations Seneca

Mexicans can be ANY race because it's a nationality not a race. There are white Mex's (aka spaniards most likely), black and asian Mexicans. And the dark skinned indio looking Mex's are either full blooded or mixed natives. the ones looking for work in the US are most likely Mayan descent amongst others.
