@in2food I would agree with you if we were talking about anyone else but Anne. So what if she's a genuinely excitable person, here gestures and mannerisms are sincere and I would but that she's the same way cooking in her restaurant. Let us not forget that she is Italian, and as a people the are known for over the top expression. I don't think it's at all fair to fault her for enjoying what she loves to do. I personally find it great that she is so open in expressing her personality.

It was good to see her speaking in a relaxed natuiral way. I love what she does on her show EXCEPT the way she feels she needs to amp up her actions. Growling "big meat" six times in one show is just not needed. You can see her thinking "Oh, I haven't made a big gesture or said a catch phrase in the last minute". Then she procedes to execute the ubiquitous fist pump and "hello cutie" or "doing good things". C'mon Anne... You're better than that. You don't see Chef Flay resorting to those things.

@fuckgegg I agree on that part you mention. Otherwise, I just find her banter while instinctively cooking food very entertaining.

Anne Burrell is a wonderful chef but her show Secret of a Restaurant Chef leaves much to be desired. She doesn't teach the finer points (she will put something she is making on a pan that has been coated with butter or oil BUT she forgets to tell her audience) which can hurt a recipe when you try to make it at home.
Chef Anne Burrell is a great chef. I've watched her show and it's awesome. It's good to not see her in the background on Iron Chef America and come into her own.

But the food she cooks is completely fresh. Americans have such a problem with sodium in our diets mostly from preservatives added to our food. Even if you salted your food as heavily as Anne, you're not getting as much sodium as most other Americans.
