what a legend, out driving for the genuine joy of doing it, the cars not in contention, not running right but he's out there having fun. How many drivers would do that now???

@0Zolrender0 the sequential gearbox only came into v8 supercar in the last few years actually. the h-pattern was a point of difference between v8's & other categories; it gave the local drivers an advantage over the internationals who were used to sequential. but the drive to cut costs (easy to miss a gear in an h-pattern box and ruin a $100,000 engine) and the fact that from outside the fans couldn't tell the difference meant they changed to a control sequential gearbox.

@greenfoam notice no Sequential gearbox either. as far as i was aware back in 93 they had them but it must have been later on they were introduced. but bar the HANS device brocky couldnt be wearing any more protection really.

No protection? the car has a full cage and harness how much more protection can you have :)?

mainly a lot more head protection. A high speed impat and you could easily break your neck.

Oh well this was 16 years ago, You couldn't get a HANS device back then. Peter Brock only crashed badly twice in his career as far as I remember, the second time killed him but it wasn't driving touring cars

was brocky running a holden engine, or was it a chevy? because some of them were starting to use the chevy motor, was he still running a holden engine?

Brock was running the Chev here. Larry Perkin was the only or at leas the only top level team still running the Holden 304 in 1993 and he won that race it, easily.
