this is my favroite all time old war film eventhou i am 16 when ever this film was on when i was younger i would always watch it with my dad who is no longer with us anymore i watch alot of old war films with him but this 1 is my favorite

5:15 they screwed it up with the pyro. The strafing was backward ! Great movie overall but not as good as Tora Tora Tora 3 years before.

@ronny5001 If the allys had pushed on to russia after cutting off their supplys the russians would of rizen with us to overthrow communsim at the time and the still loyal troops would of run out of supplys no longer being supplyed by the allied naval supply convoys within weeks... all hindsight i guess...

But to think if they had listened to churchill and pushed on we wouldent of went through the cold war or have the trouble in the middle east that exists today... he had amazeing forsight...

Actually the red army at the time was HEAVILY supplyed with weapons,fuel & supplys from usa & europe, plus Stalin & communisum was VERY disliked by the russian people at the time. Churchill after berlin fell was demanding that the allied forces push on into russia & deal with communisum then & there he also wanted to go like a torch through the middle east, but everyone after all the fighting was exausted & wanted an end to it then thus churchil lost the following election for prime minister.

@ mrsgritoli1: do you have any idea how huge the Red Army was by July 1945? and do you have ANY idea of the quality of tanks, tactical aircraft, and above all - artillery.. the Red Army had at its disposal???

Think of it this way. As of Victory Day 1945, approx 75 - 80% of Germany's armed forces were facing the Red Army. About 15% facing the Allies, and the rest in other theatres. If the western allies attacked Russia, the Red Army would have been at the English Channel in a month.

@mrsgritoli1 Gen. Patton wanted to. He said he'd pick a fight with the Russians and make it look like it was their fault! Well, the rest is history. It didn't happen, and we had over 30 years of "cold war," which almost went hot on a couple of occasions! Oh, to be living back then with what we know now!
