Created during a recent trip I took to Tanzania, children who attend a school at which I volunteered were looking for a memorable way to say "thanks" to hundreds of people across the globe who've supported efforts to rebuild their school after it was nearly closed last year. We chose Post-it® Notes because they were colorful and could be easily personalized by the children for each donor/supporter.

If my video is selected as a winner of the Post-it Notes "One Million Uses and Counting" Contest, any prizes will be donated to help the school continue their efforts to rebuild and expand. The school serves over 200 local children, including those featured in the video.

For more information about the school, check out http://www.EpicChange.org. You can also check out more videos from the school on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/epicchange. If you're interested in learning more about Pius, the little boy who says the Post-it® tagline at the end of the video, there's a short video about him and his mother at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZLEOYHyWx8

Special thanks to Zoe, Nick, Amanda, Sanjay, Tim, Nelle, Mama Lucy and the school's amazing students and faculty for all their help creating this contest entry.

  • Angie sent me. I am so glad she did. This is beautiful.

  • Thanks to Angie, and thanks to you! I'll be sure to let you know when they announce the top 10 this week. The winner of the $10,000 prize will be determined by popular vote, so I'll definitely need yours. If I win, the money will be used to continue reconstruction of the school these amazing kids attend. Thanks again! - Stacey

  • Aww, man.. so NOT FAIR! This is the clear winner!

Where in the rules did it say we could try to help the needy?

    Grrr...

  • I'm glad you think we've got a winning entry ;) Hopefully, it works - you can imagine what $10,000 can do for these kids in Tanzania. Good luck in the competition - I'm sure your mad floral origami skills will get you into the top 10 - see you there! (positive thinking, right?)

  • I am overwhelmed! You get my vote over and over and over again! Sending my love...

  • Thanks Angie, and thanks for sending friends!! Check back on 9/12 when they announce the top 10 & start voting - I'll definitely need your help!

  • using kids for the win... nice

  • kinda lame

  • awesome video!!!!!

  • I think you have a great video and I think you are a very nice person to do this, but it is not fair to the other contestants, if this had been one of the top 10. You see, voters would end up voting for your cause ---not your video, which would be an unfair advantage in the contest.

  • WOW this video is amazing! and a great idea. I HOPE U WIN

  • wonderfully done

  • This has got to be the winning video. If not people are krazy.
