Actually in all technicalities these pictures were part of the original cloverfield viral marketing scheme. These weren't discovered until after the movie came out, sadly. Theres a slight possibility I may be wrong, but it wouldn't matter because the picture with the rig falling and the monster swimming to the surface is a deeper look (pardon the pun) into what happened at the Tagruato rig attack. I wish people would actually research this instead of making mindless assumptions.

Poster is fake saw the vid by the guy who did it and honestly if they did nuke clover (thats what hammerdown is) they would be fucked since clover was only like what 100 200 yards away from them they prob got crushed or vaporized but who knows its hollywood.
