Me playing another excellent song from Billy Joel, "The Stranger", from his 1977 album of the same name. It's a very good song, I hope everybody enjoys. Please rate, comment, subscribe!

PS: I haven't had much practice at the whistling, forgive me :-)

  • Ha thanks very much, whistling can be a challenging thing to, I know a lot of people who can't do it!!!! Just keep practicing and you'll certainly get it! Thanks a lot, really appreciate the kind compliments, and thanks for commenting!

  • You are sooo very talented!!! I absolutly love everyone of Billy Joels Brilliant songs, don't you?? I mean I sat down for an hour trying to play my favorite song, "Scenes from and italian restaraunt," and yeah, I didnt get very far...... Pleae ceck out my video I work very hard on them, and please subscribe. I subcribed 2 u b/c u r geat at the piano. Ya, I am a vocalist and I sing in my videos, so check out all of the one i sing in. Thanks soooo much!!!

  • Thank you very very much! I certainly do love every single Billy Joel song, one of my very favourite artists! Yes, "Scenes"is one of my favourites too, a very good but very hard song. He is definitely up there with Mozart and Beethoven in terms of composing. I checked out your videos, you have a very nice voice! Thanks again!

  • Great!compared to some of the others i've seen. Hey i'm not great at teh piano but is there anyways i can get that sheet for the prelude from you? let me know. Much better than the simplistic crap i've seen out there that doesn't sound right. Also loved your playing of "oh you pretty things."

For the guy who said something about the whisteling...are you stupid? Have you ever even heard the song?

  • Thank you very much, very glad you like my cover! I will send you a PM, please check! Also happy you liked "Pretty Things", another brilliant song, along with this one! And yes, the guy who said about the random whistling has obviously never heard the song... Thanks for commenting!

  • Thats amazing

  • OMG your hands are like to big white SPIDERS dancing on the piano -- dude you rock at that song lol

  • Awesome man, great job with the whistling part of it.

  • when i saw the begining. i was like "wow this guys pretty damn bad" then i skip to the middle and i was WHAT THE FUCK!?!. hella nice :D

  • did you learn this from sheet music?

  • Sam, you might want to raise your piano stool a few inches higher. I say this because the angle from your hands and up your wrists to your forearm is a bit to low.

Your hands should angle downward more to the keys. This is really important as it can help you avoid damaging tendon strain, carpal tunnel etc.

I love your playing man, you are doing great and have talent!

Your timing and pace are very good by the way!

A nice job you have done on all that you've taken on!

  • Where can I find free sheet music for this song?

  • This is crazy good :)

  • @kristenander2009 LOL you and me both. I can whistle outward but not inward. I'm playing this song via piano too.
