DigInfo - http://movie.diginfo.tv 3D images and virtual reality games have been seen before but not many of them have been felt. AIST is bringing the feeling of reality into Virtual reality with their haptic interface that pushes, and pulls the user.
The system creates the sensation through acceleration and phase difference of eccentrically weighted rotors. When used with a virtual object sensors are required to relate the object, the motion of the hand, and the feedback sensation.
Most haptic systems for virtual reality experiences have been stylus based but Aist's design fits a person's fingertip.
Besides video games and virtual reality experiences, this system can be used to train surgeons for invasive surgery and other procedures.

Shit really.
A Wii can Do HAPTICS, are you sure you don't mean force feedback, because "haptics" and force feedback are very different you know.
