Pretty sure most of the trip is him waiting for the battery pack to fill up... Tesla is my dream car maker, but they surely don't charge very quickly.

Well most of the time I was sleeping, like most of the mankind is doing and in the charging times I had always plenty to do taking pictures, eating, talking, sending mails, uploading photos, composing music, so I did not really wait.

But you are right, I want to have an electric car, which charges 1000km in 5 minutes, that's why I do this, so go and buy electric cars so that the development will accelerate.

... and I don't believe that battery exchange will have it's break through because of one simple reason: Who will define the standard? Tesla? Mercedes? Renault?

You already can see it with Renault, who kicks Betterplace making a new non standard betterplace exchangeable battery.

There are too many global players with own interests, the only standard we already have is electricity so this will win, nothing else.

Till Tacheng 100% of the highway had this quality, really impressive, what Chinese developed in this short amount of time. Between the sea and the border of Kazachstan there is only about 150km of non Highway, where the quality also impressed me, and I don't want to miss to say that I saw hundreds of people working on it to close these gaps. To say 100% of the truth, the highway has not always 4 lanes, but where in Europe you have no constuction areas ;)

But time is even as you stop less for gas refueling and you get to drive somewhat faster with electric car so....... its just a bit worse then gas but soon it will be even with gas as battery technology improves
