Will the "Prison Industry" work inmates for corporate interest? Will Fraser Institute expediency work inmates making car parts, like in US Prisons? We call it slave labor in China. So not forget - WWII P3 IG Farben Auschwitz, a P3 Concentration camp. That history isn't in school texts but you can read about it online. BC's prison proposal is planned with "double bunked" inmates, violating International Treaty on Human Rights. I stand with you Betty, there's no justification for P3 prisons here.

@Lumbyful You are absolutely right. There was a mill attached to the women's prison when I was there (2007) in Maple Ridge and the women worked like slaves for four dollars a day. That's not four dollars an hour...but four dollars a day.  Which most of the women would give back to the prison through the enormously high prices of all of the items in the canteen which is also privatized.The BC Liberals are onto this big time.
