Winner: Best Driving Game of 2011

Whittling down the list of our favorite driving games from 2011 to just five nominees wasn't easy, and to understand why, you need only look at some of the games not included. Driver: San Francisco was a strong contender, for example, but after a heated debate and much crying, it narrowly missed the cut. The nominees for this year's Best Driving Game award are an incredibly diverse bunch, which can make direct comparisons difficult. Regardless, once the deliberations were underway, it didn't take long for us to settle on an overall winner.

Last year, you the GameSpot audience disagreed with our choice of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and named Gran Turismo 5 your favorite driving game of 2010; it'll be interesting to see if you agree with us this year.

Any one who says dirt 3 sucks has been playing the really lame NFS games for way too long. EA has nothing on Codemasters when it comes to racing. And Forza is the same as it's ever been.

100% agree with the winnner, i got dirt 3, and gt5 (i know gt5 is from 2010), i get bored with gt5 (and i love simulators), but dirt 3 is more funny, gt5 is always the same, dirt 3 is amazing!
