Uses an arduino and the TelAPI (http://telapi.com) SMS service to send an SMS when motion is detected. It light up the second LED when motion is detected and sends me a message.

You can implement yourself! Details at https://github.com/mattwilliamson/ard...

TelAPI will work with most mobile providers? For instance chilean providers? I would like to connect to other type of sensor equipment, what would be the feasibility? Thank you

Yes, TelAPI should work to Chile. They do a lot of international SMS.

Nevermind i figured it out. the "()" was missing in the print command line. and maybe changing the line for #motion detected will help i changed it to if byte_received != "0":

Thanks. I copy pasted the sever.py code into idle and then changed the values as you have instructed. Saved the file. Then tried to run it and it gives me an error: stating invalid syntax. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks. The Tel api number has to be one which you have bought?

You can either run it from IDLE or use your terminal.

Hi im trying to implement, but I cant figure out how to run python server.py.

I changed values in the server.py file using a text editor but how do I start up the server to run the file?

Cool little project. For all you iPhone users out there, you can save a couple dollars by using Prowl ($3 one time) instead of SMS.
