@josephaugustus Czech Republic, Estonia, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Latvia, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Andorra, Slovakia, Lithuania, Iceland, Ireland, Catalonia, etc. What's the problem with that? Small states can work together with no problem. They can even win a World Cup by themselves (like Catalonia did for spain).

Catalonia is no more different from la Rioja as la Rioja is from Cantabria and so fourth. Should all of the regions of Spain crumble into small insignificant nations? There is more power in unity. This seems like a desire to go backwards instead of forward. Back to a time when Spain and much of the rest of Europe was divided into small fragmented and antagonistic kingdoms. While the rest of Europe is trying to unite. Rebel catalan politicians are trying to rip Spain apart.

@breizhcatalonia1993 Me? No need to proof anything, the FACT is that you are Catalan (=Spanish), your education was paid by the rest of Spanish people, your work benefits all of Spain (in case you're working) and you need your Spanish passport to go to other countries, and most Catalan people are OK with this, and everybody in the world recognices it. If YOU want to proof otherwise, you might as well lose your time bullshiting poor ignorant people, which is something catalan politicians do well.
At present day around the 50% of the population of Catalonia wants the independence the catalanian parties have the most of the power at the catalonian parliament, but spain does not allow a free democratic referendum, no at Catalonia and neither at Basque Country.
