GH - Luke and Laura - 1979-1980 playlist p.282

Part 282 of L&L 79-80 playlist. 1980 Luke is stressed and talking to himself (TG is amazing), relieved when he gets Laura off of the bus. Has a plan in his head and is working on filling Laura in without calling attention... puts plan into motion. **** This Storyline is really reaching a head... PLEASE try to keep comments spoiler free and only comment about the video on hand. There are a LOT of younger viewers watching this for the first time. I would really like them to see it as close to the way we did the first time.... though I know they know a lot of history that didn't exist yet for us. Let's just try. Okay?? THANK YOU!!

Why did Luke spill the beans about the black book in front of "Sally"?

Luke knows now that Sally and Hutch are KILLERS... he also KNOWS that they won't "off" them unless they have the black book first. He is trying to assure Sally and Hutch that they don't have the book to buy them some more time alive!! Does that make sense??

I wonder why Sally and Hutch didn't hold them at gun point and make them give up the location of the black book as soon as they got back to the bar instead of continuing on with the covers they already knew were blown.

Yeah when he's talking to himself in the beginning it is compelling. It shows some of his insecurities and also how he's working up his courage and will to stay alive and protect Laura.

Gosh, that scene where Luke is talking to himself...you can hear all the tapes playing in his head from when he was a little boy. And his face! There is so much energy and expression coming off him the audience is totally compelled (I sure am!). Even Laura, who is often infuriatingly stupid and uncooperative when Luke realizes things she doesn't get yet, sees something mighty is happening NOW and does just what he says.
