Another song from Robin's gig at the Kitchen Garden Cafe in Kings Heath Birmingham. Robin making this Motorhead song more sinister than seems right somehow.... Recorded by my chum Niall and audio only I'm afraid- hence these incongruous holiday photos of the isle of Skye and the Isle of Lewis to accompany it. Robin then goes into the start of "Down by the Sally Gardens"

  • Glad you enjoyed it and I agree with you-it is wonderful....

  • But even more surprising is that on the recent tour with John Renborn, not only did they suspiciously sound as if they had in fact rehearsed (or something like it as they played with very tight arrangements), but Robin again sang Ace of Spades with JR adding bits on his guitar. I mean it's one thing to sing it to 34 people in a cafe because he'd been listening to it in the car, but to persuade JR to also play along on it in concert that was quite well attended....A top man indeed,

  • haha this is brilliant!

this is another reason why Robin's my hero.

  • And mine.... Everything's slightly more interesting when el Robino turns his genius towards it.

  • Mighty stuff. Fav'd!

  • Yes, if ever proof were needed that his harp has a special magical quality, I think this is it,

  • I saw RW & JR do this at the Half Moon Putney las year. Magic!

  • Lovely raw feel to it. Our young friend James Akenhead won Poker Million last year. I'll send it to him, what a player!

  • One never knows quite what to expect with Robin... This is wonderful!

  • Wicked! ...Robin IS the man.

  • Robin,

Continues to inspire and surprise us. Fabulous stuff! Did you know that the first four ISB albums have being remastered and reissued with their original covers?

  • very well put ;)
