Loading BPM information (from The Echo Nest) into iTunes using a new tool I put together during Veracode's December 2011 hackathon. I wanted to see how fast I could get this to go, and as written, it can tag a hundred iTunes tracks with correct BPM information in about fifteen seconds. I have another idea for how to speed it up (maybe a lot), but that's another hack for another day.
The tool isn't suitable for distribution (yet?), but I'm working on that. Underlying technologies here include Ruby, The Echo Nest APIs, ruby-echonest, RubyCocoa, ScriptingBridge, peach, Platupus, duct tape, zip ties, hose clamps, and a great deal of brute force.
When are you going to release it ? im very interested ;D
