He might be on painkillers, but it might just be all the abuse to his neck. Unless he's just been on painkillers for years and has never quit. I remember him having this kind of voice for ages.

And by a "low voice", do you mean a damaged voice? Because it seems like his voice has been going a bit, too. His "woo!"'s aren't what they used to be.
