  • Never, ever feed a budgie on its back! This way the food might get into the lungs and choke the bird! Please, don't ever do that again!

  • What they eat?

  • @Booster102395 ....if you can help I'd appreciate it greatly!

  • I have Kaytee Exact formula and something the Japanese lady that sold the bird to me called Awadama? She has me mixing the formula with these tiny little seeds in fairly warm water and feeding the baby with a spoon....Is this wrong? My husband has had parakeets/budgies before but never one this young...I'd say mine is about 22-25 days old tops :( If anyone can help please do!

  • لا تعذب الحيوان ):

  • They aren't really fighting! they are trying to feed each other!

  • @BudgieBamBand Its feathers haven't grown in completely.

It's ok let the mom feed them for about 4 weeks in a nesting box that u can by from a pet store. Since it seems your inexperienced. Wait till there 4 weeks old then pull them from the nest. You feed babies till there crop is well rounded but not to full. They need hand feeding formula. There are 2 kinds that are good there's KAYTEE & ZUPREEM. The formula is quite costly though.

  • About the feeding on back thing.

My female would always lay they on the back before she fed them.

From what I could tell, they were happy

  • I had a yellow female budgie that used to feed her own young on their backs,in fact she used to actually flip her babies on their little backs, and pump feed that way!

  • @jakebaty

My budgie looks like she's about to lay an egg. What do I do???? Please respond!!
