Look, Jen, parents are just big kids, they're not any smarter than you are. Tell them that they're being bigheaded and not treating you like a person, but a possession. Parent's shouldn't treat a child like a doll or toy that they can put in a locked room until they want to let it out. You're a person and your feelings and wants and needs should matter. Tell them that, and if they don't listen, do the right thing for you. You only have one life to live, so live it the way you want.
