Hoosier Outlaw Sprint Series
"Old Timers Weekend 30"

Winchester Speedway
Winchester, Indiana
October 3, 2009

***Tim Cox was crowned champion at Baer Field, now its an end of year exhibition race held at Winchester. The event was set due to the fact USAC did not feel they could provide enough cars to run their midget division, so Deb and Tony Swanson got a phone call and wala, we've got winged sprint cars. :) Oh well, these guys put on a better show anyway.

  • just how old is Jeff Bloom ??? I remember watching him in a 1975 USAC Sprint race at Minnesota State Fairgrounds battle with Marvin Carmen for the win... Bloom was 2nd.. they were both in Darkow roadsters.. when I heard the name I thought, well, he must have a kid or grandkid racing... nope.. it's THAT Jeff Bloom !! and he's still fast !!! we just saw him set a track record up at Slinger Super Speedway in WI....

  • Well that was an interesting start.

But I have to say from watching the video, Winchester Speedway looks so much like Salem Speedway.
