@honda156mx What changed to make 4 strokes superior in the 120 years they've been around? New advanced tech that allows them to surpass 2 strokes? A lightweight supercharger giving them 2 stroke power and less weight? No? JUST ONE THING, a rules change. It's like saying new rules are out and 250 lb boxers have to fight 125 lb boxers and the heavyweights have to fight with their hands tied behind their back. According to you, this would now make lightweights the future of heavyweight boxing.

@Revanche2strokes The truth is, even though 2 strokes are better machines, in the pro ranks same displacement 2 strokes aren't allowed w/ the 4 strokes. The factory teams aren't going to change and neither is the ama. It makes me sad to say 4 strokes are the future but they are.

thus me hanging up motorcross , do it in the woods now , too old to jump anyhows , but my #1thing is watching so many fast kids get left out of big races casue they cant afford a 900dollar + top end -----BTW only 2 jap companys dont make 2 strokes now and both of them still sell 2 stroke motors ? H and K

@jlcyamaha, while it is true that the factories pay their riders more to race 4 strokes, Carmichael rec'd 2 million more ( I read ) for riding the RMZ 450 rather than the RM 250, and it's all because the factories make a ton more on parts. Yet, years ago, guys were trying to compete fairly with their 4 strokes in MX/SX because we had rebels. Where are these guys now? Where are the guys who do what they want to do, not what everyone else is doing? It's a sad injustice to 2 strokes.

To any 4 stroke fans, how can a machine that needs a double displacement advantage AND a minimum weight penalty on all 2 strokes be a more efficient power source? It is not. If it were, brand "H" would not have stated on record that "if the AMA allows 250 2 strokes to race 250F's at ANY MX/SX races at the National level, they will leave and take their millions of advertising dollars with them."
