Do you work in Rhino with a flat surface and then either project onto a surface as with flats or the domed surface the video showed being probed.
Then for cylinders, do you work flat and then copy the pattern over and later wrap it around the cylinder. Or do you work flat and take care of it when you output to g-code? I'm interested in exploring some of the same idea's but in metal. Seeing if its possible to create some of the patterns Holtzapffel created but with CNC equipment.

What program do you use to create the toolpath (CAM). I use Rhinocam.
