I'm hardly an authority but will gladly offer you my opinion. I've always fished mostly in water 8-20' in dept with 8-12' being the most consistent. This will certainly vary from lake to lake. Find someone in your area who knows. Bait? Hard to beat FRESH cut shad with the emphasis on FRESH! Others like small blue gill. Learn how to throw a cast net or find someone who can get you fresh gizzard shad. Chicken liver is also good but difficult to keep on a hook. Best of luck!

Not real sure. 13-14 that morning. Mostly Blues with a few channels. No Flatheads.

A simple wire pet cage. At the end of the day we will clean our catch instead of having to clean fish every time we check the lines.
