Great place to visit, but unless you're retired, you don't want to live here. The recession had little impact here because it has always been like a recession in Thomasville. There are no good jobs here.

Thomasville is a pleasant surprise. Pebble Hill Plantation is a must visit, nice little shops downtown. Makes a nice weekend visit with a small town atmosphere (opposed to a tourist town).
