The ABC, CBS, and NBC television stations in Boston did not go back to regular programming when their respective networks' special reports on the death of Senator Ted Kennedy ended.
Except for network newscasts, those three stations broadcast nonstop coverage of reactions to his death and memorial events until his burial about 91 hours later.
