FrightFest 2010 - Day Four

Day Four, Sunday 30th August 2010, of the eleventh annual Film4 FrightFest, held at the Empire Leicester Square. Andy Nyman, the co-writer, director and star of West End hit Ghost Stories, tests our brains with his devilishly tricky Quiz From Hell, while the rest of the day brings a mixed bag of previews and premieres from overseas:- from France, a stylish homage to 70s horror, Amer; from Australia, a first date becomes a nightmare in the darkly witty The Loved Ones; and from Serbia comes the talk of the festival A Serbian Film, a film with scenes so shocking that Westminster Council managed to get its UK premiere at FrightFest cancelled - although its replacement, announced here, did not disappoint.
