This could be a great series if done right, AMC or FX should give it a try.....But as far as this movie goes, I am sure glade I did not pay more than a $1 for it.

ive read and collected all the books from my dad having some when i was young and the similarities between fallout and deathlands are too close for coincidence, ive read faq on betheda site someone asking if deathlands influenced the game but they said theyd never heard of it, lies tho not saying fallout is lame total opposite just that they should give kudos to a major influence, also this movie sucks in the worst way even if they had no budget that doesnt excuse taking away core plot elements

@brin3535 I agree! I had all the tapes (or as many as I could get my hands on), back in the early 2000's! I was a long haul trucker and just loved listening to this stuff. I was quite disappointed with the movie, it didn't resemble anything I imagined from the audio series!

Why did they introduce, Jak as a mutant? This was a terrible movie. I loved the audiobooks but this movie was not very accurate.

I have read this series since 1984.. .. I did not like this movie,it was worth a sat afternoon ....sad holly wood hasn't made a respectable version of it...with the original characters....

@johnh32156 I've been saying for years that Deathlands would have been perfect subject matter for a videogame.I'm glad others agree with me.I think it would be interesting if you could play as different characters.That would alter the gameplay a good deal.I'm thinking stealth mode as Jak would be really cool
