Edmund Purdom plays opposite Jean in this movie. In an interview, Jean said that Marlon Brando had the choice of this movie or "Desiree" and he chose the latter, which also starred Jean. John Carradine plays the grave robber at the beginning of the clip, and Peter Ustinov is the servant at the end of the clip.

  • I thought that Edmond Purdom, was excellent in this part. He is a distant lonely child, raised bookishly by aged parents. He portrayed that perfectly.

  • Note the donkey, when Merit presents food.

  • Is it available on Bluray DVD yet?

  • This movie's AWESOME!!!
