I made this video for my friend, artist Jim Poitras who visited in Lahti Book Fair 2011, in Finland. He was telling there about "The Drum Calls Softly" book and about native culture as well. Jim's paintings are in the book. The book is written by David Bouchard with Shelley Willier. The Northern Cree is singing and drumming in the CD, which comes with the book. Also one can listen the story of the book from CD. The Drum Calls Softly won a mention award in annual 47th Children's Book Fair In Bologna, Italy, 2010, and it is a coveted recognition for publishers all over the world.
