Ireland's Recession

The Zeitgeist Movement is primarily concerned with communicating the root causes of global social corruption and exploitation. The current monetary system is a system which is highly flawed and completely outdated. While economists scratch their heads and suggest various strategies, they ultimately fail to see the inherent flawed basis of money creation and it's unsustainable disconnect from the finite resources on which we all rely. The current monetary economic system has out lived its use to humanity as we are currently at a stage of potential liberation based on technological knowhow. However due to this competition based system that is maintained, the humane solution generally always comes second to the profitable solution. The promotion of human exploitation and abuse is a inbuilt factor of the monetary system. Profit incentive along with the need for continuous economic growth is the primary cause of political corruption, war, insider trading, collusion, monopoly, labor abuse, pollution, planned obsolescence and many more of the problems that we encounter in the "modern world". The global economic meltdown is not a glitch, it is a demonstration of the free market/monetary profit incentive psychology at work. Booms and busts are inherent aspects of the "business cycle" of which consolidation of power and increasing inequality is both necessary and inevitable.

Regarding those who select not to live in the proposed cities they would be free to live in any form of less efficient housing if they pleased.

Hi scrufduf , I think that between Zeitgeist Addendum & Zeitgeist Moving Forward they don’t just direct people’s attention towards societal problems, they offer logically reasoned tangible solutions. Due to the complex nature of our problems and the proposed systemic redesign of the Venus Project, I think a fair amount of study and analysis is necessary on the part of anyone new to the concept. On the end of my channel page I posted a watch-list that I found helpful.

people need to stop taking life so seriously in ireland(i am irish). .my family have been hit as hard as anyone believe me we have. . .but only in the past few days due to tragic circumstances have i learned that believe it or not money does not equal happiness . . if you knew me this would be the last thing you would expect me to usually say

Whilst I like what zeitgeist does in making people start to think about the problems inherent in the system,I don't think it goes far enough in all 3 of the movies to show the problem with society is based on coercion and lack of choice in whether we play this game or not. Social contract, I never signed one. Will the centrally planned venus project allow for those who don't want to get involved? Will the central computer allow for those who don't want to join the communes?
