How to split large XML files with simple XML splitter script in foxe

firstobject.com video shows how to split XML files with a simple script in the free firstobject XML editor for Windows (foxe). An example 50MB XML file is split using a small FOAL script (C++ syntax), but the process works on files over 4GB.

I tried everything and still cant split a xml, can i email it to you and you split it for me and send it back ?

@JohneRebel01 this video is a bit of a complex example; you can get more info at the firstobject site and email info there

It is firstobject not firstlink. The Windows version (Vista vs XP) affects the bar and button appearances, that's all. In the firstobject XML editor, go to File menu -> New Program and paste the script in. F9 to run it.

It would be good if you explain what the hell you are doing BEFORE showing it. I need to split large XML file, but I am totally confused about what I've seen!
