Absolutely agree with comments below: this is one show that should NOT be remade. Period.
McGoohan, as actor, writer, producer and director, cannot be replicated. One would be out of their mind to even consider remaking "It's A Wonderful Life," "To Kill A Mockingbird," "North BY Northwest," "A Matter of Life and Death" - and any number of true classics of the big screen, or small.
"The Prisoner" is stands firmly in their ranks and is as iconic (along with Ron Grainer's music).

I agree. I'm an American, and lately, the remakes have stunk! This show was all Patrick McGoohan, one of the most dynamic actors ever! No matter where he appeared, I'd watch him. Too bad there aren't more actors like him these days.
