@stilltanisha82 also that is another thing to be cautious of, trucking companies which run both owner ops and company drivers. Should be either one or the other vs. this sick competition for miles. Just pretty sad that the industry has deteriorated when it comes to running general freight in all 48 states. Yes I have my CDL, but just don't respect an industry that won't honor time put in regardless of how long it has been. Eventually corrupted companies will get what is coming to them.
@stilltanisha82 being paid by the mile has become a joke especially when companies like Swift have shaved miles from their drivers. The Movers Guide is BS. Also I do believe Swift is still in the practice of over hiring so they have enough drivers to cover the loads. You are already competing with the trains for miles which means less work for you. I really don't think Swift cares about a driver's financial future. Typical of a corrupted company. Don't be a slave to Swift.
@stilltanisha82 hard to have pride in a company that has cheated their drivers in the past or has purposely missed expenses on every other trip over a 3 month time frame. Also general freight never paid enough and Swift has failed in some areas of trucking that I'm sure you haven't heard about. And what you failed to leave out was the company drivers are governed less than the owner ops so might be difficult getting 4000 miles a week especially if all one does is run the I-5 corridor.
My dad a solo owner operator for swift did 4000 miles legal in one week it can be done. I was with him while he did it. In a t 2000 governed at 70 it can be done.
I'm with swift as well. While on the road with my dad it was rumored that something had happened to you "big cat". I dont know were that rumor started from, but ive heard it from more than one swift driver. I hope you're okay and I think company pride is awesome! Ignore all the swift haters out there. While they're sitting and thinking about "clever" insults...We're moving that frieght:)
@NetdCartel we can all spot a bullshitting Swift promoter and Big Cat was definitely one of them. You don't make enough with Swift to afford all of that. Manage what money? On top of a residence one must maintain (DMVs no longer accept PO Box's), you are making shit with these companies.
Man WTF all these exp drivers hating on big cat for. First off if you know how to manage money you can afford anything you want. Rags to riches is real my friend just because you failed at it don't hate on the next person. I know plenty of drivers that's young and own they own truck. My father started with swift and stayed there three years. My cousin started out with us xpress and friend I grew up with started with Werner and I'm with Schneider. And we all agree on one thing they all the same
If u didnt know by now BIGCAT was a swift mark..In under 2 years..from not driving at all, 3trucks..2 new including the custom vovlo with 5k est. of electronics..a 10k silkscreen wrap..Merchandise in his like ness..a show..and the ability to run 4500miles with out leaving Texas, ive seen the majority of his videos..95% are in Texas 4% are in Phoenix and one pct in Port Reading NJ ..oh and the reason he hasnt posted is because he no longer works for Swift..Guess they wouldnt give him the CFO job
