Okay, so the recipe is really Ham Loaf Hawaiian. But we're gonna call it Hawaiian Spam, because it's Hawaiian and it's Spam! Here's how to make this exciting dish. Recipe from the New (Old!) Boys & Girls Cookbook from Betty Crocker, which, by the way, is Cookbook of the Day!
RECIPE:
1 can Spam (any type will work.)
2 Pineapple Rings (canned or fresh)
Mustard
Whole cloves (optional)
Brown Sugar
Take the loaf of Spam and place it on it's side on a small baking dish. Cut in the middle a little more than half way but not all the way through. Then do the same, sectioning it into quarters, then eighths, forming a "fan." Starting with the first cut, spread mustard in every other cut. In the same cuts, tuck 1 half of each pineapple ring in between. If you like, stick whole cloves, 3 for each pineapple piece, into the tops. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top. Bake in a 350 degree toaster oven for 20 minutes. To serve, cut through slices without pineapple.
