  • The Gin Blossoms are coined as Jangle Pop which was a sound created in the Mid to late 80's REM was probably the band that took this style and turned it mainstream in the early 90's. But alot the songs on NME that was released with little success initially in 1992 were written in 1988. I think the Gin Blossoms sound was ahead of its time and

finally evolved in 1993 to would dominate the style of music for the remainder of the decade.

  • I know this band is often called a ""pop" band and I would not really call them hard rock although some of their songs have a hard edge but pop just means popular and it really does not indicate the kind of music they make. any more than the word band would indicate what kind of music they make I mean we call Madonna and Michael Jackson pop and the music of the Gin Blossoms is not by any means the same. I like to think of them as a rock band waht's rock with that.

  • So good to hear these guys again! Takes me back!

  • Agrees with meglaw69, I like this version better than the CD :)

  • I actually like this better than the recorded version

  • well done, the gin blossoms have great tone.
