Sword fight Woman vs Man Castlefest

Here our 2 oldest series, combined in one MP4 movie. See that 2 of her blows in the swordfighting part, allmost hit me in the face. I'm barely able to block the second "spinning blow". At the end she has a new trick in wich she grabs my wrist, kicks me in my kneehole, and after that, stands on my lower leg, wich forces me to the ground. An armlock prevents me from escaping. Especially when i'n not co-operating, it hurts very bad. . .

de takedown met de paalwapens is cool, is dat jeu de la hache?

grappig hoe de cameraman schamper lijkt te lachen bij een van de betere technieken. :-)

de "spinning blows" zijn een beetje jammer...

de uitvoering is een beetje 'tentative'. Ik mis wat 'intent'. soms duidelijk een choreografie. De dame krijgt wel heel duidelijk fantastische kansen.

Hallo Arne,

Wij zijn van de Zwaardkring en wellicht heb je ons gezien bij de workshop van Fiore of bij de Glima Stage van Lars in Veldhoven. Deze video is, as you can see, van een tydje geleden. Nl castlefest vorig jaar. Dit is onze serie waarmee we een kleine seriecompetitie hebben gewonnen binnen de zwaardkring. Cameraman is ook 1 van de leden, lacht waarschijnlijk omdat ik in de pan word gehakt. :-). Verder geef ik sinds oktober les bij Dragonheart te Enschede. Ill hyve you. gr styn

Hey thx voor het compliment. Voor de meeste mensen is dit gewoon een gevecht, en die zien niet hoeveel technieken we erin verwerkt hebben./ Het zijn allemaal technieken, aan elkaar gebreid met losse slagen voor het mooie geheel. Fijn dat het iig word opgemerkt! ;) Greetzz Styn

They are not even fighting. This is for 'show' only. Look, you can see they are not even aiming at each other, and they're not wearing any safety equipment. If you want to see people 'really' practising swordfighting skills, search for HEMA or WMA bouts.

i'm a feisty woman, i've never fought with swords, but if you've ever had an enthusiastic playfight with a woman, not least one who knows what she's doing, you might be surprised. particularly if you have any degree of familarity with your opponent - including strong men. men tend to have the advantage of upper body strength, but it's not to say you can't get at them ;)

Well hell, it's pretend fighting so if she just nibbles it and pretends to bite it off I guess the danger will be a real thrill. Besides, it's gonna be a big job to bite it off. Hope she's hungry.....
