See? This is what happens if you don't stay true to the original names. Their Japanese names were Ellis/Elise, and instead they went with Iris.
What happens next? Rune Factory Oceans, with a character actually named Iris, whose name now has to be changed. Now her name is Violet in English, and I'm willing to bet there will be a Violet in a future Rf version.
It'll just continue on and on. :/

@sukininja It is. If you use japanese pronuciation, it's actually 'Ai-Ris', but then the confusion of I to an E, and R to a L, which makes Iris to Ellis....though I don't understand the I to E...Ai and Eh sound completely different. o.o
