"Come Together" is a song by The Beatles written primarily by John Lennon. The song is the opening track on The Beatles' September 1969 album Abbey Road. One month later it was released as a double A-sided single with "Something", their twenty-first single in the United Kingdom and twenty-sixth in the United States. The song reached the top of the charts in the US, and peaked at number four in the UK.
The song's history began with Lennon writing a song for Timothy Leary's failed gubernatorial campaign in California, United States against Ronald Reagan, which promptly ended when Leary was sent to prison for possession of marijuana.

JUST SO EVERYBODY KNOWS, John Lennon wrote this song for Timothy Leary, when Tim ran for governor of California in the late 60's. There were posters, handbills, benefit concerts and all sorts of things going on to actually promote Leary as a politician LOL.
That was Tim's campaign theme - "Come Together Over Me"

The Beatles never did a Video for "Come Together" because John had left the Beatles by that time of the release of the single. The last Beatle music Video they made was for "Something" but there is not one shot of the Beatles together in the Video, just separate shots of each Beatle at there homes. Nice Work on the Video, Cheers !
