Clark couldn't fight Zod because he didn't know how to fight, hence why Bizzaro, Lana with superpowers, Zod, Doomsday, and many more could beat him. In fact, it isn't until Season 9 where he knows how to fight.

@Anabrazon The obvious need to fight on something like personal view and opinion is
way more pathetic then a youtube troll (and that is the one you´re aiming at).
It is a proof for a mental complex if you have to deny certain things or ideas at all cost, like in your case
you can´t stand freedom of speech and pluralism which include also the right to say provocatives or to have non-conform opinions. If your liking of the series what be real, you would just ignore people who do not like it.
