Part of Team Oregon's Advanced Rider Training course, at Pat's Acres in Canby, Oregon, on June 6, 2011. This was actually the cornering portion of the class for Team Oregon instructors to practice their cornering proficiency.

I was riding my 1997 Honda Nighthawk 750, following my friend and co-Instructor Chris L. on his 2007 Harley Davidson Street Glide for six laps around the track (in the clockwise direction).

  • What is next after a person fails the class???

  • @HeadSkulls, well, for the Team Oregon Basic Rider Training class, if a student fails the knowledge test, or the skills (riding) test, they have an opportunity for one retest. Unless they accumulated too many points on the skills test (a penalty score of 31 points or above), which Team Oregon has determined to mean the student really needs more training and has to take the class over again. Some people simply need more than one class worth of training. Very few just shouldn't be riding, period

  • @orygunner1 Could be true I guess...

  • @HeadSkulls Yes, it is true, and I should know. I am a Team Oregon Instructor. More information can be found at team-oregonDOTorg, or call us at (800) 545-9944 with any questions you have about our training courses.

  • What's next after you faol and spend 179.00???

  • @HeadSkulls, Not sure what you mean because of your spelling error, can you clarify your question please?

  • Great video. I Loved teaching, The scraping of the hard parts means that you are having fun.

  • I can't give you any pointers, but I can tell you what to expect on a retest. Expect zero constructive feedback and plenty of snarky comments from the instructors as they fail you. I contacted their office to go over my scores and the person I talked to suggested I talk to an instructor after a range class was over. I did so and received 'Well, take the course agiain and pay attention next time.' Blown off by an instructor.

My experience with TO is pretty succinct. Thank you for NOTHING.

  • I know that orange bike. Chris was one of my instrucrors just did the basic a few weeks agow. All they all kept saying was go to the gokart track. I see why.

  • @orygunner1 Thanks man I am taking a retest soon. Any pointers?
